Mera Pizza

When I first landed in Netherlands in 2004, I had very little choice for food. It was either packing my own lunch or eating at the office canteen. The office canteen had choices of bread, sandwich and bread and sandwich and bread and sandwich.

There was a small restaurant below the metro station near our office. It was run by a Turkish man. He had limited choice too but he gave warm food. Our favorite was large pizza which was split between two of us. Filled with toppings of different kind, it cost us 4 Euros each.

For many days, it was my regular lunch menu. In few days, I could not take it anymore and decide to experiment on the other items of the menu. In three years I had experimented almost everything in Netherlands and yet this pizza brings fond memories of 2004
