116 – Ganeshotsav 2009 Special – Upnagaracha Raja
The western suburbs of Mumbai do not history of big Ganpathi’s. I guess its because the options available to immerse the idol is less with Gorai creek at one end but no proper beaches except Madh in Malad.
The Upnagarcha Raja or The Suburb’s King in Borivali East prides itself as the biggest Ganpathi in the Western Suburbs. Standing at 20 feet, its one of the biggest idol I have seen.
