331 – Thoughts for Food ….2 – Diwali in Amsterdam
Having a mix culture team on an onsite assignment means celebrating each other’s festivals. It also means understanding each other’s culture and everything that goes with it.
We had a big team from India and we would celebrate major Indian festival like Diwali. Everyone was entrusted to make atleast one dish. Most of the time it had nothing to do with Diwali but with what one can make. I improvised to create a locally found floor slices and filling them with simple aloo sabzi. The sabzi was the same I put in my Batata wadas
The piece was kept in the oven and we called it veg pattice. This was not Indian but atleast it had spicy Indian vegetable inside.
And yes! They are a little burn out!
