Keralites love fish. They buy fish like my mom buys vegetables. You will find fish in almost every meal in a keralite household. On my visit to Kerala, we stayed at my friend Mathew‘s relative’s house.

Staying in the house did make quite a difference. There was absolutely no menu everyday but surprise of different dishes. Staying in a home of a native does let you observe the actual culture of the region and be much more than just a tourist.
