India was once known as “Sone ki chidiya” (The golden bird) because of the abundance of gold here. It was all lost in time when invaders and foreigners looted it of all its richness.
We are responsible for our own downfall and then the loot continues till date with gold being replaced by the environment, natural resources and others and now too we Indians are helping others loot the country. Sadly the looters are the Indians themselves.
The Red fort was once covered with gold. Today, the Indian government has plated a small section of the wall to just give an example.
