Waghya was Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj’s famous dog who jumped into the burning pyre of the king on his death.
The existence of the Dog itself is doubted just because it was first written about by a person of caste who was not of the same caste as Chatrapthi Shivaji.
In the end all that died are the values of the great Maratha.
