2160–The Daughter Turns One–1 –The First One

The daughter turns one and looking back at our and her journey together

This was the first photo of Amaya since she came into the world. There have been many after this. I first took my camera on the third day.

Its not always that I go for a training. Its not always that I am at a location where the public transport is difficult to get. On 16 July 2013, I was attending a training in Thane and I as actually understanding it and hence liking it. Wife knew I was in training and so knew that I would call her.

So it was surprising that she called. She told me that she was feeling pain but some checkups had made the doctor decide to get her admitted.  So I excused myself thinking about the fastest way to get home. Fortunately I got a bus and was at home by 2:00 PM. I rushed to the hospital. Doctor told me that she needs to operate immediately as the mother is losing fluid.

I signed all the forms and let the doctor take over. Amu was taken to the operation theatre and then it was long anxious wait.

At precisely 3:38 PM, Amaya came into this world.

Jui and Chetan were with me for support. Another 20 minutes she was in my arms.

Jui took this photo. Its not that clear but enough to show years later to Amaya. This photo is special as her first few hours in the word.

And today she turns 1!
