2186–Toys of Amaya 3–The Ting Tong

I was searching for a push toy using which Amaya can learn to walk. All shops and Internet search gave me those costly toys which had blinking lights and cost more than 3000 rupees.

But all I wanted was a simple toy which can be pushed easily. When I learned to walk, I had used a small heavy stool. The stool is still with us.

Sawantwadi is famous for wooden toys all over the world. Incidentally I had to go to Goa through Sawantwadi and that is when I found what I was looking for. A Simple toy that makes sound when pushed. Amaya could learn walking perfectly and at the same time cost be 550 rupees. She is still interested in the cymbals in the front rather than pushing the ting tong around. By the time I had bought the toy, she was already balancing herself quite well. It was just a question of perfecting the walk.
