Chalkaye Jam!!
I hate being drunk. Although I don’t find drinking as a bad habit if you can control it, I hate having the dizzy drunk feeling. Thats why I avoid drinking as much as I can. I don’t find alcohol tasty either so there is not much fun for taking a drink too.
But that does not mean, I don’t enjoy the company of friends who drink. Especially when the alcohol starts to take effect on their senses. Its fun to watch.
Netherlands has a social drinking culture where pubs serve as a meeting place for friends to let their hairs down. Unlike India, where drinking is considered bad, you don’t have to hide in shady, low lit bars to drink, having a drink is as easy as meeting friends
I would say cultural difference and different culture treat drinking differently
So while other enjoy their drink and I have my nth glass of coke, I play around with my camera. The glass, the wine and evening lights plays strangely on the camera lens.
This was taken at my Manager’s farewell party. The white wine glass and the Amsterdam Bijlmer (Pronounced Belmer) station behind. Bijlmer station is one of the biggest station in Amsterdam and a major financial hub.
